That's crazy. There isn't as much posting in this thread as there used to be, though. I think last.fm kind of killed the original purpose of this thread.

Re: WAYLT: The Beginning
That new Mastodon album was actually pretty decent, even though it got a lot of critique on the internet. I guess it helps that I'm not the biggest Mastodon fan in the world, so I didn't expect anything from this. I like Leviathan and Blood Mountain, but I don't listen to them that much. I'm rarely in the mood.
EDIT: Here's some albums I've been listening to lately or just liked a lot:
Black Mountain - In the Future:

Jay Munly - Munly & The Lee Lewis Harlots:

The Evpatoria Report - Golevka:

God Is An Astronaut - All Is Violent, All Is Bright:

Sólstafir - Masterpiece of Bitterness:

Sólstafir - Köld:

Yeah, i'm enjoying it. I still prefer Blood Mountain, but i've still got to listen to Crack a bit more.

I like Leviathan the most out of these three, but I'm also really starting to like Crack. The cleaner vocals work for me. So I guess Blood Mountain is me least favorite, although it has some of my favorite songs on it, like Sleeping Giant, Colony of Birchmen and Hunters of the Sky.
You should check out Sólstafir, Satan, if you haven't already.

I'm liking the new Appleseed Cast disc. Thought the infrequent vocals would reduce my enjoyment, as Mare Vitalis is probably my preferred release, but it actually works well.

I've been cranking loads of Primus lately. Les Claypool owns your face!
