NEW SHOWS / STORE INFO

Two new shows added! Including an ALL AGES show!! For the Kids!

Also…

A lot of people have been asking where they can find the new album. Obviously you can pick it up right here on the site in our online store.

You should also be able to find it all across the US in the following stores:

Best Buy
Sam Goody
FYE
Coconuts
Musicland
Borders
Circuit City
Tower Records
Hot Topic
Virgin Mega Stores

If you have any problems finding it at any of these stores, please let us know. We’ve been hearing of a lot of stores selling out, so if you don’t find it that’s most likely what’s happened.

We’ve also been hearing from a lot of people that store employees at stores that we know for a fact have copies are telling them that they don’t even carry the album, so if you hear a story like that, try to get a second opinion. It’s more liekly that the person you’re talking to doesn’t know what they’re talking about (or just doesn’t feel like actually helping you).

WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE

Yes, it’s the news you’ve all been waiting (and waiting and waiting) for. It’s been the subject of almost every email we’ve gotten for the past year and a half, so I know everyone has one thing on their minds…

The new album will be released in the US on March 22, 2005 through Rock Ridge Music.

This week we signed a deal with Rock Ridge Music to release our new album “Clearing the Channel” (produced by Sinch and Drew Mazurek) on March 22, 2005. We do not have immediate plans for a proper international release (that will hopefully come later) but you will most certainly be able to order the album online and have it shipped to you wherever you are in the world.

We’re currently working out all the details of the release and imminent touring schedule so check back soon. There is much more to come…

ALL AGES SHOW - CANCELLED! . UPDATED

FOR THE KIDS! (SORRY KIDS!)

The all ages show (below) that we just annouced a couple weeks ago has unfortunately been cancelled. Or more accurately, we are not able to play the show. It will probably still be going on, but we will not be there.

I know this is a kick in the face to everyone who has been waiting for an all ages show. We sincerely apologize and are doing everything we can to schedule another all ages date as soon as we can.

There is some good news though:

1. Once we get a few last details worked out, we will be announcing a release date for the new album. So stay tuned for that.

2. Everyone’s favorite song from the new album, “Identity Theft,” is featured in the new XBox game “Greg Hasting’s Tournament Paintball.” Here’s some info from the website:

“Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball offers the most complete and realistic paintball experience without taking a paintball to the chest. This fast, intense and dynamic game offers players a truly exhilarating sporting experience incorporating all the most integral elements of actual paintball action. With real pros, authentic venues, sponsors and equipment, Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball is the cornerstone of a new franchise and genre in the sporting games market.”

You can also read the full review from IGN right here.

3. Another track from the new album is on its way online. Check back soon.

THE NEW ALBUM

We’re a little late with this news (I said we would have an announcement to make last week), but here it is:

We will be heading into the studio on October 9th to begin work on our next album. We will be co-producing the album with Drew Mazurek, who’s past discography includes work with bands such as Jawbox, Dog Fashion Disco, Linkin Park, and Nothingface, just to name a few.

The recording will be taking place at two different studios: All live recording (with the whole band playing at the same time - mostly for getting all the drum tracks) will take place at Dragonfly East Recording and Interactive, in Haymarket, VA. All overdubs and mixing will be completed at High View Studios, .

As with the last album, we will be keeping a studio journal throughout the entire recording process. This time around, though, there should be a lot more content and much more frequent updates. When we recorded the last album, none of us had laptops, so it was difficult to update the site and create new content for the journal, since we had very limited access to a computer while we were in the studio. Now we’ll be able to update the site at any time and we can shoot video, take photos and record audio wherever we are and have it up on the site within minutes, so hopefully that should make things more interesting. We may even start updating the journal before the 9th to cover some of the pre-production process, so be sure to check back towards the end of the month to see what’s going on.

NEW SONG / DVD PREVIEW

DVD

We need some help.

For our next album (which we are still writing, and will begin recording very soon), we are putting together a DVD that will be included as a bonus disc. Details on what will be included on the DVD will be annouced at a later date, but one of the things we’d like to include is some video content submitted by fans.

You can submit pretty much anything you want, but we have a few guidelines and suggestions (see below) that you might want to take a look at. Basically, we’re trying to leave it pretty much wide open so you can be creative and hopefully come up with some interesting stuff. Obviously, we’re asking for video content, but if you don’t have access to a video camera you can do something else: artwork, photos, animation, audio recording, etc. Keep in mind that we will require that you sign a release form (which you can find down below) to allow us to use whatever you send in. If you’re not comfortable with that, we can understand, but unfortunately we won’t be able to include your submission on the DVD.

So here are some guidelines and suggestions:

* First of all, submissions must be all original content. Meaning that you can’t record something off of the TV or from another DVD and you can’t include any music, words or images that you do not own the copyright to.
* We will accept submissions in the following formats: MiniDV (preferred), VHS, VHS-C, Hi-8/8mm, DVD, CD-ROM. We prefer MiniDV or one of the other tape formats, but we’ll try to accept pretty much anything you have. Obviously, for stuff other than video, we can accept it in whatever format you have. If it is scanned photos or artwork, the higher the resolution the better.
* Answer the following question: “What is the Ocular Noise Machine?”
* Answer the following question: “What is Sinch?”
* Explain how you discovered the band, an experience you had at a show, an experience you had listening to our music, or anything that is somehow related to the band.
* Explain something that is completely random and unrelated to this band. Show us your collection of questionable medical devices. Take us on a tour of your local UFO landing site. Interview your local gas station attendent about the possibility of a fourth dimension. Whatever.

All submissions should be sent to:

Sinch
P.O. Box 1624
Doylestown, PA 18901

All submissions MUST INCLUDE the following, signed release form:

Click here to download the release form.

We don’t have a specific deadline just yet, but try to have your submission to us by the end of August. We will probably have a more specific date as we get closer to completing the album. Also, we will not be returning any submissions, so be sure to make copies before you send anything in.

Feel free to email us if you have any questions.
