There is an article on us in this week’s issue of Philadelphia Weekly.

If you’re in the Philadelphia are you can pick up a copy at your local news stand/book store. The article is also available online in the press section or on the Philadelphia Weekly website.

CD Reviews

The first three reviews of the new album have come in and have been added to the press section.

If you know of any other reviews out there that aren’t posted, please let us know.

Lots of News

On June 10, “Something More” was officially released to radio. During this past week, the song was #2 Most Added at Rock, Alternative and Mainstream radio. The week before that (which was even before it was officially released!) it was #2 Most Added at Active Rock. Basically what that means is that the song was added to more radio stations than any other song that week. (except one, obviously, or we would have been #1) Thanks to everyone who’s been calling in and requesting the song. Things are going very well.

Click here for the list of radio stations that are currently playing “Something More” during regular rotation.

We’re also showing up on some other charts this week. “Something More” debuted at #69 on the Friday Morning Quarterback’s Top 100, which was the highest debut this week. The FMQB site measures rock radio airplay. Again, thanks to to everyone who’s been calling in for us.

As you may have seen on the Roadrunner News page, we will be releasing an EP before the release of our new album. It will feature 2 songs from the album (Seven and Bitmap) and one previously unreleased song called “Requiem.” It will be available in stores for only ONE DOLLAR. We’re looking to release it in the first week of July, but we should have an exact date (and more info on where you can pick it up) within the next few days.

Also, some info on our two upcoming shows:

Tomorrow’s show in Poughkeepsie, NY will also feature the band Vex Red. We just found this out at the last minute, but thought that it was worth mentioning as they are a pretty good band who you might have heard of. If you’re in the area, it should be a pretty cool show.

The June 24 show at the Pontiac Grille will be an ALL AGES show. The show starts at 8:00pm and we will be going on first, so don’t be late. Also added to the bill is System Failure, another really good local band. Check the shows page for details.

Tour dates are coming soon. Stay tuned…

Also, photos from some recent shows will be up soon.

MORE SHOWS / MORE RADIO

We have added another show to the schedule. This one is at the First Union Pro Cycling Champoinship on Sunday June 9th in Philadelphia. We will be performing in the field by the Art Museum. You know, that place where Rocky ran up and down the steps? Yeah, that. Apparently this is one of the biggest (or maybe even THE biggest) bicycle race in the world. Or so I’m told. It’s sponsored by 93.3 WMMR in Philadelphia so if you listen to that station between now and then you might hear us featured in the commercial.

In other radio type news, listen to “Exposed” on 94.1 WYSP this Sunday night at 9pm. Me (Dan) and Tony will be in the studio with Spike to talk about whatever. Maybe you could call in and ask us questions. I don’t know if its that kind of show. But it should be interesting. We’ll try to find out what Spike’s real name is.

Also, you can go to this page and vote for “Something More” on the “Exposed” website. Every week after the show, they put up this survey to see what people think of all the new music. Let them know if you like our song. There will be a new survey up starting Monday May 26 so you can go back and vote then as well too.

2002 Bands to Watch

Shoutweb.com 2002 bands to watch

We have been included in Shoutweb.com’s “2002 Bands to Watch,” along with 26 other “new” bands.

Also, we are still accepting fan surveys. Everyone who fills this out (including those who have already submitted one) are eligible recipients of random free stuff. We won’t really say when it will be or what we will be sending out, but fill it out and you may get a surprise in the mail sometime soon. Or you might not.

Note: There was a problem with the fan survey. Anyone who has tried to fill it out recently probably got some kind of error message. It is now working properly.

Dynamic Rock Interview

Dynamic Rock Interview

Click the image above to read an interview we did a few weeks ago with DynamicRock.com

It’s part of a whole piece they did on 5 of the newest signings to Roadrunner Records, which also includes the bands Hinge, Ill Nino, Chimaira, and 36 Crazyfists. Since the other four bands featured are considered metal bands (I guess), we can’t exactly argue with the title “The New Breed of Metal.” But, just for the record (once again), “We’re not metal.” Thank you.

PS - We should have an announcement to make on the whole producer situation within the next day or two. We can tell you, however, that it is not going to be Eddie Wohl as was announced by thePRP.com a few weeks ago. It was also mentioned in the dynamic rock article. It is untrue. We do have something pretty much confirmed, but we’re just waiting for all the details to be worked out before we make an official announcement.

As you may recall, one of our songs will be featured on the soundtrack, which is being put out by Roadrunner sometime in the Spring.

The film was most recently shown at SXSW and has been getting some really good reviews. Some people are saying it’s the best horror movie they’re seen in years.
