Here’s another video via YouTube featuring the song “Identity Theft” set to people playing Paintball. The song was featured on the 2005 XBOX game, “Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball”. I did play paintball once. It was fun. The paintballs hurt me. Thanks rocxtreme!!
“folks on Staten Island are lining up and taking sides, either for or
against the building of the new track. Those against the track are
identified by the acronym SCAT (Staten Island Citizens Against the
Track) and those for it are called SINCH. (Staten Island NASCAR Hopefuls)”
First of all, I ripped this idea from kottke.org. Not that anyone reads this thing anyway. But if you do and you’re about to cry “ripoff”, the line to collect your $0.00 refund forms to the left.
I’m not sure that I’ll care that I haven’t seen The Maltese Falcon when I’m dead and buried. According to this guy though, it’s pretty important. Either way it looks like I have a lot of movies to watch if I want to keep up.

Only 28 out of 102. I left out ones that I’ve only seen parts of or that I somehow watched but have no memory of. But even if I cheated and included all of those, it’d still be less than half.
I’m not sure if I really care, but it’s kind of interesting for some reason. I feel like I’ve seen a lot of movies (I’ve never really kept track as I would guess most people haven’t). And I’ve certainly seen quite a few that I’d consider really good or even great. I could probably make my own list of 102 (or even more) essential movies. But according to this guy I haven’t seen shit. But I have a feeling that I’d probably sleep through a bunch on this list. Generational difference maybe? Or am I just unable to appreciate good movies? I hope not.
B) Hot day in the middle of a center city Madison Street.
C) Thousands of feathers needed to be cleaned off the stage before our set because the opening band ripped up pillows on the stage during their set.
D) An extended version of “The Silent Acquiescence of Millions” was played to close the show. The only problem was Jamie forgot and walked off the stage at the part we normally end the song. He walked right off the stage and into our van not realizing we were still playing. The rest of us finished the song. Tony finished the vocals.
E) Last show of our first ever tour. Lots of pictures and goodbyes with our tour mates Epidemic and A Color Red. Felt good to end a poorly attended two-month tour on such a high note. We still talk to some of the guys who were in Epidemic. I have no idea what happened to A Color Red. All good guys.
F) In a hurry to get home to celebrate Jay’s birthday we ran into problems driving home. On an Indiana highway we pull over because Tony isn’t feeling well. He steps out of the van only to pass out and fall on his face. I can still hear our guitar tech yelling at Tony as he watched him crash on to the pavement…Eating at gas stations for breakfast, lunch and dinner finally caught up to one of us. The next several hours were spent at a nearby hospital while Tony was checked out. We resume our quest home as the sun rises. Never did make it back in time for Jay’s birthday….
I don’t want to insult your intelligence so I’ll just assume that you noticed the blog colors have changed to more closely resemble the rest of the site.
When we opened the new forums there were a few people who seemed upset at how “white” the whole thing was. The site has been all dark colors for so long I guess it was kind of a shock. So now the blog is less white. Should we do the same with the forums? Or has everyone gotten used to how they look by now?
Either way we’re gonna be redesigning the whole site sometime in the next 8 years (give or take infinity) so maybe it doesn’t matter.
I have a pretty unhealthy fear of lightning. I’m not sure why. I’ve never been struck by it and I’ve never seen anyone else get hit or anything. And I know the odds are like a billion to one or whatever, but every time there’s a lightning storm I think I’m going to get killed.
It’s sort of like that feeling when you know a balloon is going to pop, but you don’t know when. At any second hell could be unleashed. Well, in the case of the balloon hell probably stays wherever it is, but with the lightning, I’d say that’s pretty accurate.
So after seeing this, I can’t help but feel like my fears are totally justified:
“I clicked away a few times, and got nothing, and then clicked the button again, and within 0.5 seconds of me pressing the button, I had jumped at least 2 metres in the air, as I heard a tremendously loud crack of thunder, and see this amazingly bright beam of electricity right in front of me. I had then landed, grabbed the camera, and was inside the house within 2 seconds.”
Some of you may have noticed that it’s been over a week since the first “mp3 of the week” podcast was released. I assure you we will be staying on schedule with this new feature. But because there was some delay between the time we posted the furst one and the time we announced it and then sent the news out through the mailing list, I wanted to wait a little bit for the word to get around and give people some time to hear the first one.
Remember, the podcasts will always be available, but the high-quality versions of the tracks themseleves will only be available for a week.
So, basically this week is still the first week, since the mailing list went out on Monday. We’ll be posting Podcast #2 on (or around) Monday, Feb 13. Depending on our schedules we may end up sometimes posting things a day before or after, but generally we’ll try to stick to the beginning of the week.
We’ve been talking about bringing back the “blog” feature on the website for a while now so I know you’re all checking the site daily to see if it’s here. Well, you can all relax because Sinch Blog is back!
You may remember a feature on the site a few years ago called “SinchLog”. That was our first attempt at a “blog” but we didn’t even know to call it a “blog” so I guess it was doomed from the start. Now we got all the lingo down, so hopefully this one will last a bit longer.
Also, we’re starting up a weekly podcast where we will be sharing some rare and unreleased tracks. The first one will probably be up by the time you read this, so check it out and let us know what you think.
We have a lot of stuff planned for both the blog and the podcast so stay tuned. It may take a little while to get things going, but for now we’ll definitely have a new podcast up every week. We’ll be working on the design of the blog as well. I kind of threw it up in a hurry so we could get the podcast going, so it has that generic blog template look to it. And the navigation is a little weird. It’ll get better as we go along.
Two more shows have been added to the schedule: This Friday (02/01) at the Pontiac Grille in Philadelphia and Saturday Feb 9th at Rex’s Bar in West Chester, PA. Click here for the full show schedule…
Within the next week or so we should have some details about a very, very short “tour” we’ll be doing in March. It will probably only be about a week long, but if you live too far away to come to shows in our area, this might be your first chance to see us live. Check back later in the week…
Also, more shows will be added over the next few weeks, and we probably won’t post here every time something is added, so make sure you always check the shows page for the up to date schedule.
Apparently Jim Morrison and Michael Hutchence talked to a psychic about their "controversial deaths" and the "many myths that surround them" and she put all of it into this book.
