Chuck E. Cheese Bots Reprogrammed
I’m not exactly sure how this works, but it’s awesome. I want my own private Chuck E Cheese robot band (or whatever this place is… Showboz Pizza or something).

On this date exactly 5 years ago we released the self-titled album on Roadrunner Records. The album went on to sell over 30,000 copies in the U.S alone and was supported by a big fancy video and several months on touring. Despite it being our only release for Roadrunner I’m sure we all have enough memories from this time in the bands history to last us a lifetime. From recording the album in Nashville with Malcolm Springer to doing a video that was probably a huge waste of money to the last tour date for the album in South Carolina it was all a blast (even though at the time we maybe didn’t appreciate it as much as we should of).
Just thought I’d post this to celebrate one of the many great times in the bands history. I’ll try to do more in the future.
You know, the one with all the people drawing stuff in the air with different colored lights? Every time I see it I can’t imagine how it all came together. This video shows some of what they did to make it work:
I hope nobody paid to get into this show:
This is another one of those things that’s either genius or just completely lame and self-indulgent. But I guess if you can pull it off and still get that kind of reaction… why not?
From WIRED:
At today’s Congressional hearing about the new rates for online radio that would essentially destroy it (as readers of this blog already know), SoundExchange, which was scheduled to receive the new royalty payments on Monday morning (since the enforcement date falls on a Sunday), made a startling statement.
The SoundExchange executive [Jon Simson, executive director] promised — in front of Congress — that SoundExchange will not enforce the new royalty rates. Webcasters will stay online, as new rates are hammered out.
I just spoke with Pandora founder Tim Westergren, who expressed relief that Pandora wouldn’t have to shut down on Sunday in response to the new rates. He said, “It was getting pretty close. I always had underlying optimism that sanity was going to prevail, but I was beginning to wonder.”
Craigslist is an interesting place. You can find a job, an apartment, a new drummer… even a “beautiful, white, hung tranny.” Basically, whatever you’re looking for.
Over the years, users have voted on their favorite postings to the site, which are then archived in the Best of Craigslist section. Some of the highlights:
Seriously, there’s hours of entertainment there.
This is a promotional video from 1994 designed to spread the word about this new thing called “The Internet.” It was sent to thousands of people to try to convince them of the power of this new medium. It’s pretty crazy to this this was only 13 years ago.
Apparently this trailer is playing before the new Transformers movie. The whole thing is filmed with home movie cameras from the perspective of the people in the city during some kind of “monster” attack on NYC. Blair Witch Project meets Godzilla or something. Looks pretty awesome.
Update: OK, the original video I posted got taken down for some reason. I’m guessing because it was filmed on a cell phone in the theater. Here’s another one that’s even worse quality, but you can still get an idea of what’s going on:
Also, here are some sites that apparently have something to do with the movie:
