Madison WI. 08.31.02

This picture is:

A) Madison Wisconsin 08.31.02

B) Hot day in the middle of a center city Madison Street.

C) Thousands of feathers needed to be cleaned off the stage before our set because the opening band ripped up pillows on the stage during their set.

D) An extended version of “The Silent Acquiescence of Millions” was played to close the show. The only problem was Jamie forgot and walked off the stage at the part we normally end the song. He walked right off the stage and into our van not realizing we were still playing. The rest of us finished the song. Tony finished the vocals.

E) Last show of our first ever tour. Lots of pictures and goodbyes with our tour mates Epidemic and A Color Red. Felt good to end a poorly attended two-month tour on such a high note. We still talk to some of the guys who were in Epidemic. I have no idea what happened to A Color Red. All good guys.

F) In a hurry to get home to celebrate Jay’s birthday we ran into problems driving home. On an Indiana highway we pull over because Tony isn’t feeling well. He steps out of the van only to pass out and fall on his face. I can still hear our guitar tech yelling at Tony as he watched him crash on to the pavement…Eating at gas stations for breakfast, lunch and dinner finally caught up to one of us. The next several hours were spent at a nearby hospital while Tony was checked out. We resume our quest home as the sun rises. Never did make it back in time for Jay’s birthday….

G) Picture mailed to us from Cathy of Wisconsin.
