Katrina Benefit

Katrina Benefit show

We will be playing a Hurricane Katrina benefit concert on Sunday, October 2nd. This is an ALL AGES show at Grape Street in Philadelphia, PA. Please come out and show your support. All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross.

Update - 09-17-05: Noosphere will be replacing Automatic Black on this show.

As I’m sure anyone who’s not in a coma knows by now, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf coast and left hundreds of thousands of people homeless and with nowhere to go. It’s going to take *years* to rebuild and in the meantime all of those people are going to need help.

We may not raise a million dollars — actually I’m fairly certain that we won’t even come close to that — but every dollar counts. I’m sure many of you have already donated, some of you multiple times. Even so, come out, put down your $10 and enjoy the show knowing that it’s gonna help some people out of a horrible situation.

Again, this is an ALL AGES show so there’s really no excuse not to come. And in case all you alcoholics are wondering — yes, they will still be serving alcohol if you are of age. Just bring your ID and you’ll be all set to do some Sunday afternoon drinking. And by the way, I’m sure there’s an Eagles game on or something, but screw that. This is obviously way more important (and awesome).

Check the schedule for all the details.

Seether show / back to Detroit

Seether / Electric Factory show update:

First of all, we’d like to apologize to anyone who came out to the show at the Electric Factory on Aug 28.

If you haven’t heard, we ended up being taken off the show at the last minute. It really was out of our control and we did everything we could to try to get back on. It just wasn’t happening.

Unfortunately, tickets for Electric Factory shows are non-refundable (or so they say). If you are really upset about this (which we would completely understand) and want to try to get your money back, you can call the Electric Factory at 215-LOVE-222. Like I said, their policy is that they don’t do refunds, but we also understand if you are upset enough to not care what their policy is. There isn’t really anything we can do though, so your only option is to take it up with them.

For what it’s worth I don’t think it was actually the Electric Factory’s fault… more of a miscommunication thing when we were originally booking the show, but it doesn’t change the fact that you may have bought advance tickets and driven a long way only to find out they we weren’t playing.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. We will be back to the Electric Factory in the near future.

Seether

We are opening for Seether at the Electric Factory (Philadelphia) on Sunday, August 28. We are playing first, so make sure you get there when doors open. Also performing are Crossfade and Dark New Day.

Two new Detroit shows

We are heading back to Detroit for two more shows on August 25 and 26. The shows are at the Emerald Theater (8/25) and TNT’s Bar and Grill (8/26) and both are 18+ shows.

Unfortunately we’re not gonna make it back to Grand Rapids this time, so hopefully all of our GR fans don’t mind making the trip over to Detroit. We have 2 shows going on so take your pick. Or come to both!

If anyone in the Detroit area is interested in helping us promote the shows, let us know. The best thing you can do is just bring all your friends. Get as many people as you can and get them to the show. If you want to do more, we have some promotional materials (posters, flyers, etc) that you can use. Just let us know what you can do.
