Exposed

…and by “later on tonight” I meant “tomorrow night.” That much is obvious.

This week we have a recording of our recent appearance on 94.1 WYSP’s EXPOSED. We did an on-air interview with Spike and also performed two songs acoustically.

As usual, this can all be found in the multimedia section.

INTERVIEW [cubed]

Later on tonight we’ll be posting the latest installment of our new weekly feature where we give you all kinds of stuff that you can’t live without. But you’ll have to wait. For now, though, we have some interviews that happened already and one that has yet to happen. What? You’ll need to get right on this.

The first two things you might have noticed if you hang out on the message boards. So, old news I guess for you people. But whatever. Here it is:

Sinch deel 1
This is a video interview (part 1 apparently) with Jamie that happened back in December when he went with Tony over to Europe to talk to some people and see some things and etc. We’re still trying to figure out the point of that whole thing. Regardless, an interview was done and filmed, and part 1 is here to be seen. I would assume a Part 2 (and maybe even a Part 3!) will turn up eventually, but who really knows? Not me. These video clips appear to be in the Windows Media format, so there you go. Figure it out.

Jay Smith on the Viditar
Here is an interview with Jay by the people at the SXSW Interactive Festival, where it just so happens he will be speaking as part of the “Laptop Music” panel. Here’s all the details on that:

Music 2.0: The Laptop and Beyond
Tuesday March 11, 2003
12:30 - 1:50pm
What is new in experimental, computer-enhanced, digitally-produced music? Sample a wide assortment of innovative new ideas at this exciting session. This session features unrendered.net’s Jay Smith, who is the inventor of the Viditar multimedia musical device featured in the December issue of Wired.

Trade Show Day Stage

For those of you who don’t know, SXSW is a week long music/film/interactive festival that takes place in Austin, TX once a year. If you live near Austin, or are going to be in the area that week, you can sign up for a free one-day admission to the Interactive/Film Trade show on March 9, 10 or 11. Obviously, you’d want to go on the 11th.

In other Jay news, he will be appearing on the TV show “The Screen Savers” on TechTV sometime next month. All you computer dorks out there know what I’m talking about. We’ll have more on that soon.

And finally, we have an interview that hasn’t even happened yet. Well, we don’t really have it, but we’re talking about it, so listen up sizzlechest. Our friends at Rokhard.net are putting together a new interview for us and they want to let the fans come up with some of the questions. So if you’ve got questions that no one is asking, send them in. And feel free to ask about anything. Don’t limit it to just band related stuff. Sometimes the more interesting interviews come from people asking unexpected questions. So, if you could just go ahead and send all questions to: webmaster@rokhard.net, that would be great.

We’ve also added a bunch of random articles and interviews that have been adding up over the last few months. You can find everything in the Press section.

OCULAR NOISE MACHINE: VOL 1

It’s Wednesday again, and that means we’ve added some crazyness to the site. Last week it was the hotness. This week it’s crazyness. And by that I mean the official release of the full length debut album from Ocular Noise Machine. If you don’t have a tolerance for experimentation, you may want to skip this one. It’s just crazyness is all I’m saying.

Take it to the house…

ABSOLUTELY LIVE

Over the next few months we will be adding brand new content to the site EVERY WEEK. Mostly in the form of new mp3s and video files, but we may add some other stuff as well. You’ll just have to wait and see. Check back every Wednesday (give or take a month) to get the new stuff.

To start things off, we’ve put up mp3s of a full live set from the Stone Sour / Chevelle tour. This particular show took place on 11/05/02 in Anaheim, CA at the House of Blues. Some of you may have heard it when it was broadcast a few weeks back on the syndicated radio show Absolutely Live - High Voltage.

Anyway, click here to experience the hotness.

New Photos

We’ve finally added some new photos to the site, including a 2001 Philadelphia show; a Corpus Christi, TX show from the Epidemic/Unloco tour; and a bunch of photos from our trip to Arizona back in April. More are on the way.

Speaking of adding stuff, we’ll be putting up a bunch of new mp3s very soon, including the Absolutely Live High Voltage broadcast that played on WYSP last week, some random radio interviews that we have, and a few live shows that we recorded during our summer touring extravaganza. These things will probably be added one at a time, over the course of the next month or two, so keep checking back for new stuff.
