We realize new information has been pretty scarce lately, but rest assured that things are moving along. Two of the new songs were remixed over the past few weeks. One of those is being re-remixed this weekend. The final mastered version of the album will be complete soon after. We will post the track listing once we decide on a few of the song titles that are still up in the air.
The artwork process is finally underway and has been put into the hands of David Carson. His previous work includes the artwork for NIN “The Fragile” and tons of design work for Raygun Magazine. Click here to see some of his work.
The EPK (electronic press kit) that you may remember us mentioning a while back was completed about 2 weeks ago and then presented to all the head people at Roadrunner. The reaction to it has been pretty amazing. Expect to see it up here on the site, or at least up somewhere, in the near future. It contains new music from the album, so it’ll be your first chance to hear what we’ve been working on for the past year.
In the meantime, you can read reactions from some of the kids on Roadrunner’s Road Crew who got a chance to hear some selections from the new album. As you can see, joining the Road Crew has its advantages. But anyway…
Reactions from the Roadrunner Road Crew
Members of the Roadrunner Road Crew (street team) got a chance to listen to 5 of the tracks on our upcoming Roadrunner debut:
1. To Die in Fall
2. Tabula Rasa
3. The Silent Acquiescence of Millions
4. Passive Resistor
5. Pain
Here are some of the initial reactions to the new tracks. Keep in mind, most of these people have never heard our music before so these are true first impressions of the band and our new music.

Comments: Dear Mom and Dad,
This is what I want for Christmas. I want every new band to have this kind of range. Granted, I’ve only ever heard a few songs from these guys (I think this 5 makes 6), but I don’t have a single complaint. They go from smooth to brutal in a few bars. I don’t even know which track is my favorite at the moment. Either Tabula Rasa of The Silent Acquiescence of Millions.

Comments: The songs are fuckin unbelievable. I can’t wait to get a hold of this CD. I have to say that “Pain” is my favorite track. Sinch is gonna be one killer band to compete with.

Comments: Well….I just finished listening to Sinch….I didn’t really like it….There wasn’t anything to “hook me in.” He also sounds just like another singer although I can’t put my finger on it. I just like my music a bit heavier….This is a little to “Creed-ish” in my opinion.

Comments: OH MY GOD! I love it! It’s fucking great music! This was my first time hearing them. I love them! The sound is awesome, the singing is super awesome! I mean it fits what I like in the music. I mean I do like all kinds but this is my type of music I prefer. I think it’s a whole lot better than the Misfits, but that’s only how I feel. I couldn’t really hear the lyrics because it seem the sound was over the singing. I’m going to just have to buy the CD to hear it better because my computer kept fucking the songs up…. but from what I heard it was great.

Comments: HOLY SHIT. I have dibs on Sinch tics when then come around!! The songs were so sweet, I was waiting for new stuff since that one song on the sampler. Tell those guys they’re on Metal Mike’s hit list.

Comments: They just sound like every other band, nothing too special that really draws me in and holds my attention… not as heavy as i’d like it, don’t like the guys “scream” at all. Just not my thing. sorry.

Comments: I know you won’t believe me, but I’ve been bragging to my friends that I’ve witnessed the next big band ever since I got a hold of the Wrath of Ro comp. You wouldn’t believe my excitement and surprise when this task popped up. I was so psyched to listen to the new shit before anyone else. And it did not disappoint in the least!! I think Sinch is a very intelligent band with enough emotion to match it. They have that Nickelback, radio-friendly sound, but it kicks the shit out of Nickelback. It’s like metal for those who know enough metal to really see what is good and it’s metal for those who don’t even like heavy music. It satisfies everyone’s needs. I really think it kicks ass. To Die in Fall is amazing, it’s chock full of all the ear candy one can ever hope for. Tabula Rasa shows how smart they are with this shit and can write complex stuff and make it sound good. The Silent Acquiescence of Millions can’t be described, I really hope it will be the first single because the demo absolutely blew me away on the Ro sampler. Passive Resistor is reminiscent of a lot of bands I’ve heard in the past (i.e. Deftones, Far, etc.) but they handle this in a way all their own. And Pain closes it up nicely with the aggression that really determines bands nowadays. They have the Staind aura about them mixed with Chimaira’s spirit and the soft, artsy emotion touch of Tool. I think they’re gonna be big, and I sure hope they will get tp the next level and beyond. Great job to RR for finding such a cool band and the best of luck to the band. I think they have what it takes. Thanks a lot for everything.

Comments: I think I’ve already heard all these songs, but Sinch is fucking bad ass. These guys are probably the most promising band Roadrunner has signed since… shit, Slipknot I guess. I can’t wait for the album… Dan emailed me once and told me he was going to send me a shirt. As far as I’m concerned, they owe me a damn shirt. I guess I’ll take it up with them next time they’re in Dallas.
Dan: In sort of a wierd coincidence, I just happened to send you the shirt the day before I got these responses.

Comments: Sick as Hell!!!! The recording quality and mix are just about perfect. They have a devilish Our Lady Peace sound. The music and vocals work great off one another and they mix into solid tunes. The vocals are great, he gives a solid mix of screaming and singing to keep the intensity in the tracks up, but not to overdo it to the point where it give you a headache. The only problem i see with these guys is that they are not the “norm” new rock band. Which in my eyes is great, but it may be hard to get a good group of followers. They are not an exact remake of korn or bizkit. All 5 of the songs are great, but my favorite has to be Passive Resistor because of its killer melody and drum lick. Sinch kicks asssssss!!! I’m very impressed and interested to see what these guys do in the future.

Comments: I never thought I would say this about any Roadrunner band but Sinch is absolutely horrible. The sound like the average run of the mill crap that blows my mind that they are signed to Roadrunner Records, the best metal label in existence. There isn’t anything good about them. The vocalist is terrible, the guitars are weak and the drums do nothing but keep beat with the flowing crap of vocals and guitar. I can’t believe that this band is on the same label as Slipknot, Chimaira, Spineshank and Ill Nino. You asked for my opinion and that’s what I gave you. This is the only Roadrunner band that I don’t like.

Comments: “To Die in Fall” - The intro is fucking awesome. The guitar sounds really good. The overall beat to the song isn’t too fast or necessarily heavy. I like the song, you can understand what is being said and the instrumental music is very amazing. It is laid back but still somewhat heavy.
“Tabula Rasa” - The bass intro reminds me a little of Dry Kill Logic’s “Nightmare”. This song is a little too slow for my likes but I like the bassline in it.
“The Silent Aquiescence of Millions” - THIS SONG FUCKING ROCKS!!! It flows so well. The vocals are excellent and the guitar sounds amazing. I really like the transition in the middle of the song how it goes from slow to fast. Once again, the guitar is amazing on this song.
“Passive Resistor” - Ok, now that intro brings to mind thoughts of Fear Factory. Once the vocals come in it changes the whole mood of the song. The vocals are a little too pitched for me, it sounds like he’s weezing during the song. I don’t like how the vocals change tone over and over again.
“Pain” - This is a cool song. The vocals are clear and do not change as much. the songs kind of has a kick back mood to it, not a major moshing and crashing around mood. The last part of the song does make you want to mosh, it gets progressively heavier throughout the song.
I feel “To Die in Fall” “The Silent Acquiescence of Millions” and “Pain” are the best songs on the sampler. They have a strong musical appeal and the vocals are clear and consistent. Personally I like what I’ve heard. Their CD will be one I go out and get for the songs I like, not just for who they are.
